University of Tennessee 2nd Annual Fall Advising Conference
Living Your Practice: Applications for the NACADA Core Competencies
September 7th, 2018
Call for Proposals
The recently released NACADA Core Competencies (https://www.nacada.ksu.edu/Resources/Pillars/CoreCompetencies.aspx) provide a framework for connecting advising theories to our daily practice. The core competencies reflect on the relationships we build with our students, the theories that underpin our advising philosophies, and the core information and policies that provide the foundation for our advising practice. These competencies are most relevant when brought to life through daily application. We encourage advisors and other campus partners to reflect on the core competencies and to propose sessions that demonstrate how the core competencies connect to and inspire our best advising practices. Proposals should be submitted using the online portal below no later than June 15th.
The conference committee also invites interested members of the UTK advising community to join our planning committee in various capacities. If you are interested, please complete the online participation form. If you are interested, please complete the online participation form below by May 15th.
