Perceptions of Academic Advising Survey

The UT Associate Provost for Student Success and the Evaluation, Statistics, and Measurement (ESM) program have partnered to implement a student needs assessment of academic advising. The purpose of the assessment is:

•To collect information about the advising experience of undergraduate students

•To determine the strengths and weaknesses of the campus advising programs from the students’ perspectives

•To improve undergraduate academic advising

•To raise the awareness of the campus community concerning academic advising and the role it plays in student success, completion of an undergraduate degree, and planning for the future.

This survey assesses advising that takes place in a college advising center or in an academic department with an advisor in your major. It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete the survey. Students can choose to enter a raffle to win one of 20 $25 Amazon gift cards. You can participate in the raffle without participating in the survey. If you choose to complete the survey, you do not have to enter the raffle in order to participate in this assessment.
