Earning your UT degree is not as simple as completing 120 hours or passing any forty courses.
To earn your degree, you must satisfactorily complete all requirements of the curriculum for which you are enrolled. Regardless of which major you choose, one set of responsibilities all UT students must fulfill is the University General Education requirements. These core courses provide the foundation upon which the other degree requirements are built. You will also have obligations for your major, and depending on the major you select, you may also have requirements for your college and/or department. Detailed information about degree requirements can be found on the following pages and in the Undergraduate Catalog.
